Louise Whelan's - GRAFFITI SERIES

From Body painted graffiti, to graphic portraits of Graffiti artist, Louise Whelan's photographic exhibition Graffiti Series explores the question is Graffiti Art?

Whelan’s Graffiti Series is a mixed media photography exhibition., she explores the argument of Is Graffiti Art? And challenges the generalisation that in turn all Graffiti is vandalism. Whelan’s images delve into the issues of the illegal nature of the art form and how this iinfluences the work and the identity or lack there of.... of the artist.

Whelan has photographed the Graffiti in her locality and has also collaborated with a well know Sydney Graffiti artist and directed the work in this series. In keeping with the character of urban art the images in this exhibition are presented as photograph, mixed media, with hand coloured, and photos with stencil art.

This is a vibrant and thought provoking body of work.
